Selena-Rose had been sitting at the bar of Nicky's for awhile before Reid had entered the bar. At the moment, she was avoiding the start of the year homework and the rest of her family. As much as she loved her Aunt, Uncle and her cousin, she needed some time alone. They just didn't get it and sometimes she didn't feel like apart of their family. The odd one out. So get her mind off it, she ordered a rather large root beer float and a side of fries.

She wore a simple floral tunic that hung loosely around her body, a tight pair of black skinny jeans that were tucked into her brown leather knee-high boots. Her black wool coat hung on the bar next to her drink. Her smokey blue eyes glanced back towards the door when Reid entered the bar. She gave him a quick glance over before returning to her small little snack. She had remembered seeing him, vaguely, hanging out with Tyler at school. She didn't know him very well, and couldn't find an excuse to walk over to him. Pulling her float towards her, slowly sucking through the straw.

Selena-Rose glanced up once more as Reid took the place by her. At least she didn't have to work up the courage to walk over to him. How much she hated the fact that she was new and knew no one besides the people she had the chance to run into. She took a quick sip of her float as she brushed her hands on her jeans, getting rid of the salt that had collected on her fingers. "Hi, Reid, yeah that's my name. I prefer Lena or something like that." She explained as she gave him a small smile. He was right, she needed the company and was slightly thankful for him coming over. "How are you?" She asked finding herself a little nervous. Her natural french accent slowly slipping from her control. She cleared her throat as a small attempt to get rid of it.

Selena-Rose smiled when he gave her a compliment about her name. It was something people just called her, no one really thought it was any good. A common name back home. She slowly nodded when he said something about school. "Much rather be relaxing at home or go to some parties, right?" She asked as she glanced up at him. "Course sleeping sounds significantly better than attending morning class." She added in a small joking tone. She slowly stood up, stretching, and realizing that Reid was in fact taller than her. Not that she should be surprised, many were taller than she was.

She grabbed a fry and leaned against the bar, her hair falling in front of her eyes. "Where am I from?" She repeated his question as she slowly nibbled on the fry. "Um technically I'm born and raise in Southern France, around the city Bordeaux. Spend my time traveling from there to here until I made the final decision to stay in Ipswich." She explained in a small shrug.

"I guess I should be happy." She commented as she grabbed her float and took a sip. "A chance to reinvent myself. But it is hard when you only know family." She explained using her laughter to cover up how uncomfortable she was feeling.
