Lately the Sons of Ipswich have been feeling bursts of power at all times of the day, but this time, they know it's not Chase, and they know it isn't one of them. One day at Nicky's, Tyler is all alone and he feels it, the user close. He knows that everyone there, except one new girl, named Selena-Rose.
According to Lena-Rose, there are many more with their power, and someone had been recently seeking people like them out, leading them to Ipswich. Of course, not all of them had good intentions for the four families that had escaped the Witch Hunts by leaving for the New World. But there are some that wish to help. Can they trust Lena-Rose's information? Can they afford not to?

Jacob pursed his lips as he refilled the shelf with new stocks. This wasn’t the most glamorous job in the world but at least he got paid. That was the most important part of it. And at least it was decent.
When he was done with a row, the teen grabbed the gun tag machine and efficiently stamped price tags on it. It sure beats grabbing one item and stamping them one at a time. He saved time and energy if he did it his way. At least that was what he thought. Once he was done tagging the items, he moved to refill another row with the same item.

Selena-Rose had no where else to go. She was tired, a little bored and was hoping to find some entertainment. Originally, she wanted to go for a quick walk since it was somewhat decent weather when she left her aunt and uncle's home. But with her luck, she got caught by the rain with no jacket or umbrella. The Ipswich General store was her only option. She slid inside, literally, and glanced around. Everything was soaked. Her dark gray sweater, her light denim skinny jeans and her black ballet flats, all were completely wet. She brushed her damp hair out of her eyes and started to fiddle with her sweater, trying to make it fit right. The weight of the water was stretch it.
She glided along the tile of the store, slipping every now and then due to the lack of friction on the soles of her shoes. Her foot slipped and she let out a loud squeak when she couldn't catch her balance, falling hard on the ground. She cursed loudly and decided just to stay there. Her day wasn't going so well anyway.

It was quiet. Eerily quiet for him. The only sound he could hear was the gun tag machine he was using and the rain outside. Ah yes. Definitely a slow AND rainy day. No wonder there wasn’t anyone coming in the store. Although, he welcomed the solitude for a moment. It sure beats having tons of people inside and asking you where everything was. With a sigh, he stopped what he was doing and looked down at the end of the aisle. His eyes landed on the topmost shelf. Maybe he could do something about that. After he was done with his task at the moment that is.
He was halfway through refilling once again when he heard the bell ring indicating that someone had gotten inside. So much for solitude. With a soft sigh, he placed the tagger on the shelf and stood up. He moved away from his spot carefully not to step on any of the items on the floor. As he made his way down the aisle, that was when he heard the squeak and then a very dull thud. A curse rang through the air. Drawing his brows together, he quickly jogged down the aisle and made his way to the front of the store. That was when his eyes landed on the girl that now decorated the store tiled floor. In an instant he made his way to her side.
“Are you alright?” He asked her softly. Pursing his lips, he tentatively reached for her wrist. “Here, lemme help you up…”

Falling was something new to Selena-Rose, and definitely something she was use too. Like many people in her family, at least the woman of her family, she held a natural grace and balance. Of course there wasn't a whole lot of rain where she was from, and if there was there was no way Selena would step out in it. She sighed softly and debated whether she wanted to get up and risk falling once again.
But before her was a young man, about her age... maybe older, asking if she needed help up. It was sweet. She nodded slowly, allowing to help her up as she slowly stood up straight. She glanced around, blushing softly, hoping that no one else saw her act of clumsiness. "Merci." She whispered as she quickly combed her fingers through her wet strands of hair.

Jacob pressed his lips and just smiled at her. Great. Their first customer for today was a foreigner and he didn’t know jack about speaking French. Huh. At least he knew what language she used. Drawing his brows together, his eyes glanced outside. It was raining hard and there was no way that she should be out there. With a soft sigh, he settled his gaze back at her and offered her a small smile.
“Uhh… you do speak English don’t you?” He figured to ask her.
Hazel-green orbs finally got the chance to take in her current state of appearance. She was soaked to the bone. Jacob brought his hand up to scratch the back of his head. Well he couldn’t just leave the store open while he offered her to get warm at the back of the store. Deciding that she needed help and not to risk someone getting into the store and steal something, he moved towards the front glass door and flipped the sign from “We’re open” to “Sorry, we’re closed” before he locked it and walked back to where she was.
“Come on. There’s hot coffee at the back and let’s see if we can get you some dry clothes.” He told her with a smile.

Selena looked up at him with a slightly amused expression. "Of course I can speak english." She replied giving him a small smile. "Of course I can do it in any accent you want..." She joked softly as she started to ring out her hair. She watched him as he closed up the store and returned back to where he was originally standing.
"Cocoa would be better, I'm not a big fan of coffee." She add as she brushed her hair off her shoulders and crossed her arms over her chest. "But that would be very nice, thank you." She added, her smiling only growing wider.

What? It was only fair to ask. It was better than assuming anyway. At least for him it was. He shook his head smirked in entertainment when she said she could also do it in different accents if he wanted. She was a funny one he could tell her that.

Cocoa. Did they have it in the pantry? He supposed he could check it out. At her confirmation and her gratitude, he smiled and nodded. “This way.” He said as he motioned for her to follow him. He was about to take a step forward when he remembered that she did slip earlier. Stopping, he turned his gaze back to her and gave her a small smile.
“You can take my arm if you want. To keep you from slipping again.” He explained.
